A year of grief and hardship gave this book its spark — but the poems themselves are written from a wider life: a young girl growing into an adult woman in her faith. They hold her triumphs, her lived experience, and the deepening of her love of God, especially through that difficult year.
Natashia began writing at night — not poems, just sentences addressed to God. Some were confessions. Some were arguments. Many were simply the words help me find my way, written again and again in slightly different handwriting.
Only later, reading them in order, did a shape appear: brokenness, searching, surrender, healing, purpose, gratitude. What had felt like drowning turned out to be a road — not only through one hard year, but through a lifetime of becoming.
“I am writing to you, and I don’t even know.”
